R.I.P Steve Jobs

Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes... the ones who see things differently -- they're not fond of rules... You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things... they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do. - Steve Jobs

However…problems with child labor unfortunately exists not only in china but in the whole world, examples include: Vietnam, Indonesia, Pakistan, South Africa, Bangladesh and India. This problem wasn’t created by Apple but countless large companies and by us costumers as we continue to buy their products and demand lower prices. Responsibility lies not only with an individual person but the whole society. If we are not part of the solution, then we are part of the problem. It is all so easy to point a finger and much harder to take our share of responsibility and make significant lifestyle changes. Think about that next time you are shopping Nike, Ikea, Gap, Rebook, Adidas or even when you buy a Coca-Cola since Coca-Cola was exposed buying sugar from sugarcane fields of El Salvador that is supplied by plantations exploiting child labour.

Off curse I did not know Steve Jobs personally so I can’t not speak about his character in depths. I believe that he was a creative genius and visionary.

He completely revolutionized the way we looked at personal computers and altered and improved use of them.

He revolutionized how we listen to music and the music industry with the iPod and iTunes.

He revolutionized the mobile phone and the way we think about mobile communications with the launch of the iPhone.

He revolutionized the way we saw on the Internet and how we use the network using the App Store.

He revolutionized the 3D animation and film industry with Pixar.

    + Much, much more

I said Steve Jobs was a great man, I didn’t say he was perfect :)
