Budapest at nightfall

Some of you were wondering if I could recommend some good restaurants in the city. The truth is that I’m really not an expert on the subject. The reason is simple the fact that, since I was born in Budapest I still have friends and family here. Most days we enjoy some old fashion home cooked Hungarian food with friends and family. We don’t want to hurt anybody's feelings by eating out all the time.

However I can tell you that the best restaurants are often the simpler, less fashionable restaurants with genuine Hungarian cousin. If the design, the view and a food is equally important to you than you should try chic Cyrano restaurant on Kristóf tér or beautiful Onyx on Vörösmarty tér. These are the 2 posh restaurants that I actually been to and can recommend. Onyx in a well-known gourmet restaurant but little uptide. You do need to book a table and they have a dress code. Nevertheless the food is undeniably fantastic. My favorit is still Cafe Vian on Liszt Ferenc tér. The menu is wide with starters, soups, salads, main courses, all types of beverages and desserts and the service is very friendly. If you like mojito this is the place for you ;)  I’m more familiar with Confectionery, Cafes & Tearooms and  I already made a post about a cuple of them.

Have a great evening! XOXO Nicky

  6. Thank you guys for the positive feedback! :) I think everyone should come here at least once. Hungary have rich culture, long and fascinating history and truly impressive architecture. Remember the best time to come is either in springtime or early fall. XO
