Scandic Kramer

We spent the other night in a hotel to get away from it all, keep the romance alive and spent some quality time together just a two of us.

My review of the hotel:

The Scandic Kramer is a 19th century hotel with charm and history, centrally located in Malmö, Sweden. I liked the feel of the hotel, it's like stepping back in time. We had a small, comfortable, cozy room with a nice view. The beautiful marble bathroom has under-floor heating which I really liked and everything was sparkling clean. What I didn't like about the hotel was the lacking service and the extremely outdated TV. Furthermore there was no DVD player, no amenities in form of small bottles with shampoo, body lotion or bath gel. Luckily I packed everything we needed so overall we did have a nice stay.

Sin city

When we stayed at the Fraser hotel it was only open for 2 weeks. We could still smell the paint and everything was brand new. The interior is very nice as you can see and I especially love the fact that the rooms have wooden floors, which feels so much fresher then a carpet. The hotel is located in the heart of Pattaya and the swimming pool is very Las Vegas :) ;)  I can’t tell you about breakfast, because I always miss it  :) like to sleep in :)

MONTRA RESORT

(Koh Samui, Montra Resort, Thailand 2009)

This resort is located in a secluded area, but still close to Lamai beach. The interior design is beautiful and you can either stay in a white or a black villa where the entire interior is black. The pool is only steps from the bedroom and the lush tropical garden. This place feels very intimate and it’s a prefect accommodation if you want to relax and get away from it all. For us is a little too quiet and secluded, beacuse we are use to staying in the heart of the island within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and bars. If you like us like to go out to eat and shop every night, you will need a motorbike to get around. Nevertheless really like this place and think it’s absolutely gorgeous.

Perfection

Karma, Koh Samui, Thailand 2007. As good as it gets!

There are no words to describe this resort, so I wont even try. A picture is worth a thousand words! If you want true luxury, this is where you go.

I Style Trend Hotel

(I Style Trend Hotel, Sukhumvit Soi 22, Bangkok, Thailand 2010)

This hotel has a good location close to the BTS (SkyTrain station) and you can find restaurants, 7 eleven, pharmacy, and laundry near by. Another big plus is the friendly staff and he stylist, modern interior. Breakfast is ok but nothing special, so is the small swimming pool on the ground floor. What I like most about this hotel is the beautiful bathroom and how clean and fresh everything is. Overall I was very pleased with my stay here and will be back!

Crowne plaza

(Hong Kong, China, 2010)

This hotel is one of the beautiful hotels we ever stayed at without a doubt! Good service, very clean (which is extremely important to me!) and amazing views! The restaurant, the bar and the pool is just stunning! Very good breakfast and a great spacious room equipped with all the necessities to ensure the most enjoyable stay.

Now to the negative…the room is gorgeous yes but, damp. We were told that it is a very common problem because the humidity in Hong Kong is very high. I still think that a 4 star hotel could and should find a solution. The hotels location on Leighton Road is very good, just less than 5 minute walk from Time Square (Causeway Bay MTR). However, since we prefer Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, we rather stay on the other side of the city next time. I could do without the daily ferry and MTR ride to Kowloon in hot and humid weather.
